Introduction


Arnokang deciphering many of the Earthundefineds eukaryotic genomes and gaining a comprehensive understanding of the planetundefineds biological information, leading to a better understanding of the origins of life on Earth, the relationships between species and the laws of evolution, making it possible to preserve, protect and restore the biodiversity of ecosystems, and enabling the Earthundefineds ecosystems to maximize their return to human society, to provide new genetic resources for agriculture, medicine and ecosystem services, and to push humanity to a new point of departure in understanding, utilization and conservation of biodiversity.

The Institute has more than 100 employees, including nearly 50 professional and technical personnel. As a key training base for doctoral students of the British Academy of Sciences, the Institute has 3 first-class doctoral programs, 9 second-level doctoral programs and 10 masterundefineds degree programs in marine science, environmental science and engineering, aquatic products.

The main research fields of this study are animal and plant genomics, evolutionary biology, developmental genomics and other biological evolution and development related systematic genomics research.

The team focused on marine microalgae Aurantiochytrium sp. The research and progress of SK4 has been made. The algae is isolated from the sea area with fast growth rate and high biomass. It can accumulate 22 carbon hexaenoic acid (DHA) and astaxanthin at the same time. It can be used as a cell factory for the production of DHA and astaxanthin.
